4/n this puts a huge financial pressure of the families of the young or rookie non UK players, and on those players themselves. The UK players can have a side job to help them make ends meet, effectively giving them more options and less financial pressure.

3/n it is to be noted that, from what I have been told, the type of work permit the non UK players get do not allow them to take another job. With no prize money for the first round losers ...

2/n Having all the qualifiers held in the UK basically forces non-UK players to live in the UK as expats, away from the support from their families ... or to travel back and forth constantly. Both factors take their especially on the very young.

1/n The most important thing to do, once this discrepancy is recognised as real is to look at its causes. Why are UK players statistically "more successful" ? IMO the World being "stuck" at the Crucible is only a small part of the answer.
