The Home Office continued insistence that eVisas "cannot be lost, stolen or tampered with" is gaslighting those whose eVisa works one day and breaks the next, taking months to fix.

We're worried about how a botched roll-out of the e-visa scheme could impact thousands including people in our community leaving them stranded abroad.

We agree with @the3million.bsky.social: we need to #FixTheDigitalStatus

‼️ The government is postponing the shift to #eVisas. Until March 2025, people will be allowed to travel to the UK on expired documents (BRPs & BRCs). 🧵

BREAKING: Ministers are postponing the full shift to #eVisas, acknowledging the system is flawed and may have devastating impact, leaving UK residents stranded abroad.

We welcome this decision, but too much remains unclear. We urgently need a public inquiry 🧵👇 www.theguardian.com/politics/202...

Congratulations to the fantastic team at the EU Rights & Brexit Hub! As Charlotte stressed, we cannot take any rights for granted, especially with the government disputing that the EU Settlement Scheme confers Withdrawal Agreement rights. Grateful to collaborate with you on holding power to account!
