I find this abandonment of basic moral principles to be astounding, but indicative of the force of self preservation. It is a fear of the future that is stoked by the populist right wing that serves their power grab.

The very least to be done is to pull them out before they go to seed. Their root system is resilient and they'll return next season, so the difficult task of digging them out is necessary in any garden. Stop the spread! #yxe
