In Ottawa I always walk along the locks of the Rideau Canal. They are the perfect tourist spot.
We forget they were built to protect Canadian shipping from the threat of American invasion.
A lot of people died building the canal. It was built to keep us independent.

I call my Mom everyday.

I served 21 years in Parliament but in the last caucus I gave up even trying to offer advice because I could never pass the increasingly rigid purity tests.
