Cant' wait to oversize it, sink it into lava while the top is past the ceiling, to basically have anti-gravity lava blobs in a map :D

Wim, you guys are supposed to make DA run better, faster and more optimized! Not add stuff that will take 30 minutes away from the user every time they place it in a map!

That thing looks mesmerizing, good job good sir!

Don't forget to remind it about the special first time discount every time you go there.

In all seriousness, Steam reviews, both negative and positive often feel very outdated, or that they just didn't dive into the software properly, such is the nature of early access where all tutorials are outdated and Design software being more complex than expected for your average MS paint user.

So he's saying that he's being held back by Square?

Because E33 honestly runs several laps ahead of everything Square has been doing as of late.

The execution: I spawn, 2 black d20s that I use when important rolls are made publicly. "I'm going to be honest, if he looks at the side and says snake, he still goes before all of you except for Rogue who rolled a 25".

I roll both d20s, 1 and 1. Laughter explodes.

The dice gods are funny.

The plan: Roll a stupid high initiative number, show them how this guy's speed is at least 90 ft, cliffhang the session so they have a week to think more plans. They are facing a good guy, they will get to run.

And somehow that lines up with very high CR creatures, since a 1/day feature he has gets his initiative bonus to +19, advantage to boot, and lets him move half his speed. That's why I boldly exclaimed "now I jumpscare you all", as I placed the mini with public HP.

5e 2024 is very interesting when it comes to Monster design, high CR creatures have seemingly ridiculous initiative bonuses, players do get many ways to reach high initiatives too! This legendary Monk I built is mostly based on how my player had him during one shots, extrapolated to level 20.

After coming up with several plans and ideas, they cast every buff they can on themselves, and walk through the treshold, I tell them something along the lines of "and now is when I jumpscare you all, as I describe how the ruined coliseum blends with how it was in the past, "Roll initiative".

Guarded by a slim figure, sitting on the floor in meditation behind a barrier of chaotic magic, the monk player quickly figures out what's going on, this final thing is guarded by his ancestor, in a space that bends time. They know they are no match for this guy. They scheme for a while.

And so with that context we get to my last session, the party reached the location of their final McGuffin, in a piece of land that soars above the mountain peak where the party's Monk trained in his backstory. In there, the ruins of a coliseum host the final piece of their quest.

So, when anyone has advantage and rolls a 1 on both d20s, I describe how they see a snake, ask them what they do, and then describe to the rest how their ally stared at the air and failed what they were doing. If it happens In my end they see an NPC look to the side and go "Snake?".

In my homebrew setting I've incorporated a real life element into the world, "don't look into the eyes of the snake", a tale of a man who had everything to succeed, but failed miserably, then blamed a snake. When a task begins someone always says "alright people, don't go looking at snakes".
