Hey, not a request as it’s after the show but please let me know if the station played a band called Pia Fraus yesterday? Was in my car, told myself I would remember the name, of course I didn’t, but came up with this and it seems a likely match….

I have a request combined with a slight gripe/call to action 😬 I was going to request Breeders, but at the same time express my wonder at how the new Kim Deal album hasn’t been getting played on the regular?? It has so many bangers to choose from. Please get it into rotation 🙏

Yes, those artist-selected old school episodes are fantastic! Just thrilled to Mac’s NZ selections. I see the episode from the 23rd is up now. The OCD completist in me is grateful.

Oops never mind, got ‘em! Weird…. I default checked Ticketmaster first and saw plenty of crazy overpriced resale offers. Then went back to Bowery site, realized it’s through AXS and found legit regular price tickets.

I’ll try a bit more… totally whiffed on checking presale or is probably have gotten. Now resale tickets are what pop up (NY)

Got Stereolab! No Autechre :/ should’ve prioritized and figured on ticket hysteria happening for that one.

I didn’t get in to that show but saw APTBS and Grooms at Saint Vitus (another venue that closed down) in Greenpoint one year later in 2015. The last time for me to see APTBS til now.

This is almost the same lineup as the show that closed out small Williamsburg Brooklyn venue Death By Audio before it shut down. The opening band for APTBS at that time was Grooms, who broke up but two thirds of the band went on to form Activity.

Extra motivated by it being the first time for me to go to Alphaville and it being the venue’s 10 year anniversary, as well as Activity being on the bill. It will be my first time to see them live.
