I have no memory of my parents reading to me, however when younger I would read everything including the ingredients on the cereal package. With my children and grandchildren I started with picture book stories like Spot and just talked about the pictures rather than the actual words

I am very tired having just returned from a 7 night cruise that turned into a 10 night cruise because of a cyclone.

I was reading a 2022 article about Fiona McDonald who died of MND late last year. It said that because it is not a notifiable disease, we don’t know how many cases there are in Australia, which affects funding for research and treatments

Do you think that Elon is so prominent because they are setting him up to be the fall guy when the economy collapses and the USA is the pariah of the world. I’m from Australia and I’m worried that the same fate might befall us after our elections this year

Ours is called Britney (as in Spears) because the first time we used her she got stuck under the bed, which apparently is where the real Britney was found during one of her ‘episodes’. She also tends to follow my husband around the house, much to his annoyance

I heard an international insurance expert several years ago state that the increase
in catastrophic events worldwide meant that they could no longer subsidise Aussies premiums as they had been doing. Not good news for us
