The MJV is a U.S.-based nonprofit dedicated to conserving monarch butterflies and pollinators. Since 2008, we’ve united partners across North America to drive science-based conservation through education, habitat restoration, and research.
Since they don’t have eyelids, they enter a restful state called torpor—a kind of butterfly "power nap" where their activity slows down to conserve energy.
