So hard to hate you?
A five paneled comic. 1.) Law's eyes are wide and intense, staring down at Corazon. Law: "Good fucking riddance." 2.) Law's finger is on the trigger, seconds away from pulling it. Law: "Corazon." 3.) We see Cora's face once more, though it is now twisted in a slightly frown/grimace, as though he's having a bad dream. In his sleep, he hums and mumbles before quietly uttering Law's name in a concerned tone. 4.) Back to Law's eyes, his once determined expression is now contorted up in confusion and upset at Cora's dream addled mumbling. 5.) The pistol is dropped, hitting the ground with a loud, 'Klack'. A four paneled comic page. 1.) In a faded flashback, We see Corazon smiling and holding out a bowl. Cora: "Law! Here, have the rest of my rice-" 2.) Another flashback, Cora glances back with malice, a scowl on his face this time. Cora: "Tch. Ignore what those bastards said, Ok Law? You're just as human as anyone else-" 3.) Cora holds out his feather coat, smiling softly. Cora: "Oi, Law- It's supposed to get a lot colder tonight- Take my coat, okay? Hm? No, I'll be fine!" 4.) Cora's coat from the previous panel flows down, surrounding a panel of Law back in the present, expression full of tears and upset as he seems conflicted with his emotions. Law: -sniffs- "Fuck..." A three paneled comic. 1.) We now see Law having slumped to the ground, backed up against the trunk of a tree with his knees to his chest. He tugs the brim of his hat down over his face as he cries. We see the pistol on the ground a little ways in front of him, abandoned. Law, his voice quivering: "Stupid....fuckin' idiot...-sniffs- So fucking stupid..." 2. We see the outline of Corazon still sleeping and snoring, completely oblivious to all that has occurred. 3. The final scene, we see from above, a burnt out fire pit and Corazon sleeping soundly, still bundled up in his feather coat. Now, though, Law has shuffled up under the coat as well at Corazon's back, seemingly seeking comfort in the face of what he's realized.

A two paneled comic page. 1.) We see Corazon asleep, bundled up in his black feather coat. His bangs cover his eyes and he lightly snores. Barely visable is a figure standing over him. 2.) Zooming out a bit, we now see the figure is the silhouette of young Trafalgar Law, only his eyes visible in his dark outline, staring down at the sleeping Corazon. A three paneled comic page. 1.) Law grins widely, only his teeth visible in his dark outline. Law: "Heh. Fucking idiot." 2.) The view pans down to Law's hands, with Corazon's pistol in his grip. 3.) Clutched in both hands, Law raises the pistol, aiming directly at Corazon (who is out of view). Law: "Brother or not- I'm sure Doflamingo will reward me for killing a lying traitor like you."

Cora-san: "Mmmmm....what am I forgetting?" A two paneled comic page. 1.) View is now focused on Law, and Cora places his hand on Law's hat. Law's expression remains the same. Cora: "Let's see..." 2.) Same panel as before, but Cora has now lifted up Law's hat, showing off his rather large forehead, which has a grocery list written on it in Sharpie, reading, "Potatoes, Green Onion, Cooking oil". This also reveals that Law has angry eyebrows, clearly very irate over Cora's shenanigans. Cora: "Ah! Cooking oil! Thank you, Law!"

It is waving both hands to get Law's attention. Law: "Hm? What is it, Cora-san?" 2.) The Cora Shadow moves its arms and hands to make the form of a flying bird shadow puppet. Law, smiling: "Oooh, working on your shadow puppets." 3.) Cora Shadow now moves its arms and hands to make the form of a dog-wolf-like shadow puppet. Law: "Dang, you're getting really good at it-" A two paneled comic page. 1.) Cora Shadow has now moved his arms and hands to, somehow, write out, 'hi Law' with his fingers, despite the fact that they're in impossible positions, including the hovering dot above the i. 2.) Law now looks a mix of confused, befuddled, and mildly horrified. Law: "Wait, what?"

(2/2) I'm of the belief that Law's hat is the same one from childhood that he's just modded/altered throughout the years.
A two paneled comic page. 1.) Law is turned away, still gripping his hat brim. Law: "...Dad said it was so I could, "Grow into it." (Quieter now) "What a fucking joke-" 2.) Cora sits up straight now, looking upset/saddened with the tone Law has taken now. Cora: "Hey!" A two paneled comic page. 1.) Law starts to walk off, shoulders stiff and eyes still hidden under the brim of his hat. Cora: "Law!" Law: "Just forget about it. Let's go already-" Cora: "Oi!" 2.) Cora has reached out and grabbed the back collar of Law's shirt and sweater, pulling him back rather forcefully. Cora: "Hold up!!!" Law: "PPPBBBbbbb" (choking on his shirt collar) A three paneled comic page, two of which are close-ups of Cora's face and Law's face, respectively. 1.) The main and center panel. Cora has pulled Law into a tight hug, squishing his face into Law's hat, effectively hiding his expression. A single paneled comic page. A young Trafalgar Law has just finished getting dressed, adjusting his sweater overtop a flannel. He looks out from under the brim of his hat, giving him a rather grim and dour expression. Off-screen, Cora-san speaks. Cora: "So what's the deal with the hat?" Law: "Mn?" A two paneled comic page, one in the present, and one being a flashback. 1.) Cora-san has his arms folded as he glances to the side, reminiscing. Cora: "I remember when Doffy took you in. Giolla and Gladius were getting you new clothes, but- You threw an absolute FIT when they tried to toss your hat away with the rest of your old clothes." 2.) We see the scene as Cora described, Giolla and Gladius reeling back in shock at the loud and violent reaction that Law has to them trying to take his hat away. He screams, 'NO' and yanks his hat back, holding it tightly to his chest. A single paneled comic page. We see Cora sitting in a relaxed position, leaning his head on his shoulder and long legs loosely crossed. Off-screen, Law speaks. Law: "It was a gift. From my parents, for my Birthday..." A two paneled comic page. 1.) Cora tilts his head and smiles in a teasing way. Cora: "Why so large, though? It's several sizes too big for you, you know?" 2.) Cora's got a lotta leg and arm!!! One of the ways I was sold on him was seeing him just be a goofy taffy clown. I love it.
And yes, I love giving lil Law the BI face with the brim of his hat. He's just a lil guy.

Scrapped/unfinished comic that I realized still reads alright so -chucks it at da internet-
A three paneled comic sketch. 1.) Cora-san and young Trafalgar Law sit on a log of driftwood on the beach. Law eats an onigiri while Cora sadly eats a small loaf of bread. He is thinking about how they don't have any money and thus, can't afford anything like more onigiri or fruit. 2.) Cora goes to take another bite from the bread 3.) A seagull swoops in and snatches the bread from Cora's hand. A three paneled comic sketch. 1.) Law watches as Cora runs after the seagull that stole his bread. 2.) The seagulls have now swarmed Cora, attacking him. Cora waves his arms around, trying to disperse them. He is notably still holding a lit cigarette. 3.) Cora accidentally catches his shoulder on fire in typical Cora-san fashion, resulting in the seagulls going up in flames as well. A single paneled comic sketch. Law and Cora now sit on the beach on a picnic blanket spread out. Law has a medical bag next to him, having had to patch up Cora after the fire. They are both eating roasted seagull. Cora looks delighted while Law looks concerned/judgmental/bewildered all at once.

Rediscovered one of my favorite Thank You cards that I drew for my Etsy store orders when it was first happenin'.

A four paneled comic page. 1.) The scene now dramatically changes to a flashback, all in much darker blue tones. We see a sniveling, rumpled looking, young Donquixote Rosinante. He has a large coat draped over his shoulders, assumably Sengoku's admiral jacket. Cora, narrating the flashback: "When I was a kid...I was saved from a very awful situation." 2.) Same as the previous panel, but now as a closeup on Rosi's face, a single eye peeking out from behind his messy bangs. Cora: "The first time I felt like things would be okay..." 3.) Cora: "...was when I saw the sunrise over the open ocean." We now see a dark, steady ocean, with the dawn beginning to peek over the horizon. 4.) The sun begins to rise over the horizon and calm ocean waves, sparkling off the water and lighting up the sky. Cora: "The blue of the sky and sea...and the yellow of the sun." A three paneled comic page. 1.) Law, off screen: "Cora-san?" Cora-san takes a drag from his cigarette, looking in Law's direction, giving a questioning hum. 2.) Young Trafalgar Law is looking closely at an issue of the News Coo. Law: "I was wondering..." 3.) We now see that Law is reading the comics portion of the newspaper, a whole page devoted to Sora, Warrior of the Sea. Poison Pink is prominently featured on the page. Law: "What's your favorite color? I would assume pink-" Cora lets out a 'pfft' in response. A three paneled comic page. 1.) Cora now exhales smoke, looking away in thought. Cora: "No, no- All the pink and hearts was a requirement with the executive position, so...Doffy didn't really give me a choice..." 2.) Law looks up from the newspaper, giving Cora an irritated expression. Law: "Ugh. Just ANSWER the question, already. I'll be dead by the time you DO, at this rate-" 3.) Only seeing the top of his head, Law retorts, "That's TWO colors." Cora gives a big smile, wide eyes, and double peace signs, looking fake happy while being super irritated. Cora: "Oh yay!! You can still count!!" Law snaps back with, 'Oi!!! Fuck off!!' 2. Cora laughs, settling back down. The pov is drawn back to show that Law and Cora are sitting outside on set of stone steps. Cora: "Yes, it's two colors. It's gotta be both."
