Days 1-2 we walked from Campo to Lake Morena. I won’t lie, the climb out of Hauser Creek kicked my butt. I think I cried twice. I’m still having fun. We have a massive snow and rain storm coming in so we’re gonna have a cabin for four days before we start the climb up Mount Laguna.

Less than a week away! We are working on food resupply (I have Celiacs or else I would skip shipping food). I will be leaving the border carrying 24 pounds. This includes water, fuel and 4 days of food. 😅

Trees are so complicated for me to build in Minecraft. I saw this tree the other day on one of my training hikes and I thought it would be amazing to do a Minecraft. It’s on nobby and old with old man’s beard hanging off the branches.

The weather feels like Spring came early to California. It was 75°F at Quail Hollow Ranch. It made for a beautiful training hike.
