Reminder: They're trying to demoralize you, and they're doing a great job of it. Part of resisting is making time for joy despite the attempts to make you feel this is not the time for it. Love your people. Dig the art that speaks to you. Go to the places where life flows into you. You deserve joy.

It is heartbreaking as one who promotes healing to see the trauma that is being inflicted. Dismantling and relabeling DEI as racism is laughable. DEI was a response to US history that is built on the foundations of slavery, oppression and racism. DIVERSITY! EQUALITY! INCLUSION! Always!

I can't tell you how often I have read or heard the words, 'but they said _______ why did they tell me that'. The brain is pattern assessing for a reason, to keep us safe. When we let what we hear override what we see we end up betraying ourselves.

What we saw last week was psychological warfare that is intentionally formulated to dysregulate people's central nervous systems breaking down people's ability to think clearly. We are going to have our work cut out to stay regulated in the midst of the chaos. We are going to have to be wise.

Let's all take a moment and take in some slow deep breaths. Research confirms that slow deep diaphragmatic breathing can significantly reduct stress and anxiety by activating the parasympathetic (calming system).

The game of narcissisitc abuse is psychological warfare. At some point the hand gets overplayed and they reveal who they truly are. Validating the current darkness we are experiencing and holding onto the belief that its always darkest before the dawning of a new age.
