Greenland's official coat of arms (adopted in 1989) shows a polar bear on a blue shield. The design is similar to an element of the coat of arms of Denmark, likely introduced in the 16th or 17th century. The polar bear's left paw raised to reflect an Inuit tradition that polar bears are left-handed.

Silver has the highest electrical conductivity of all elements, but we rarely use it in electronics due to its its high cost. Interestingly, gold is sometimes used in specialized electronics because it is extremely resistant to oxidation and corrosion.

In 2009, Patti Ralph-Neely and her husband accidentally went over a low-head dam along the Des Moines River. Recognizing the danger, nearby construction workers immediately reacted to help. This photo captures Jason Oglesbee as he reaches out from a lowered crane to save Patti Ralph-Neely.

Aaron "Jaws" Homoki clears the Lyon 25 in 2016. During his initial attempt at the 25-step staircase in 2015, Jaws tore his MCL. Officials later installed textured pavement, likely in an effort to prevent future attempts to jump the famous staircase.
