The result (from a player's perspective) is that balancing the decision to get into a fight with the decision not to is one where you're basically trying to be clever about how you approach problem-solving, which leads to some very interesting scenarios!

Also the fact that "fatigue" is a pretty limited resource that also gets treated like your combat health pool means that combat and non-combat sort of get lumped together as "things you can do that take up your energy" - since there are a number of situations out of combat that take fatigue-

Combat in Avatar: Legends is interesting, because it very much goes with the show's vibe of having these elaborate fights that are half about what's being said or done between blows as much as the actual fighting. It took us some getting used to, but tbh it's super cool conceptually!
