Rory woke up from a nap, walked in, took a good long look, took three nibbles, turned around and walked out. Huge difference from his younger years when he would have been challenging those lights and rolling in them.

Rory is proud of his whiskers for whiskers Wednesday. in his younger days all of his whiskers were black which made him an entirely black cat. In his teen years they are all white now!

This lovely spent part of the day by the dry brook. Seemed larger than newborn so I checked a few times from the porch. I saw the mom check in too. Later it was gone so all must be well.

On Black Cat Appreciation Day we truly appreciate our black cat family member, Rory! He’s most lovable, always curious, and a definite people cat. We love him dearly.

It hit 100F on the deck this afternoon. Graeme and Rory react so differently. Graeme in his favorite spot on the deck this morning and Rory not even close or even outside. Graeme had water and me about ten minutes only.
