Yeah keep it as a secondary at the very least. IOS is not only restrictive but is more bug prone and forces a lot of features that are inconvenient. Speaking from experience

Genuinely do not get a IOS phone. Android phones, especially Samsung ones may have bloatware, but android is open source, making it customizable and you can make your own android version
