I appear to be developing an obsession with Rosaceae. Beach Plum / Prunus maritima at Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge on the last day of City Nature Challenge 2024.

Sunday's looking remarkably bright in Brooklyn. Join me at Green-Wood Cemetery for an urban flora walk October 1 @ 10am. Find faces in the Asteraceae; parse look-alike species of sidewalk weeds; and meet some of your most prolific moss neighbors. Link below.

Yep, we'll also look at a big patch of these little dudes. Euphorbia serpens perhaps?

This Sunday--Sept. 24--@ Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn: join me for another walk in which we'll Meet Your Green Neighbors, the ones you maybe tend to ignore. We'll look closely at some weedy plants with tiny flowers, like Erigeron canadensis and at least one prostrate Euphorbia species.
