Ah, the good old days, when they made movies where you could actually see what was happening!

I haven't seen it in decades, but I did love that movie back when it came out.

I was so happy to see this on the list! I'm about 50 pages from the end and enjoying it so much.

I feel like I shouldn't underestimate someone who's cunning, stupid, and obsessed with conspiracy theories given the current president. However, she doesn't have his celebrity, and misogyny will work against her.

That's what I've been saying for weeks to anyone around me suggesting that she really has changed. She's taken this particular grift as far as she can, and it's time to change lanes. But I do think she might have been legitimately surprised by how much pushback she got on releasing the Epstein files

A few days ago I saw someone speculate that she was moderating her image to run for president in 2028, a theory I'm finding pretty believable tonight.

I find it weirdly heartening that a pure opportunist like her doesn't see a future as a Trump loyalist.

Okay, after reading her statement, maybe not the Senate? I find it hard to believe that she's going to disappear from public life permanently, though.

Such a beautiful dog! 🤩 I haven't read Kingfisher yet, but she's on my list to try sometime soon!

Hi Drew! I wanted to thank you for recommending The Everlasting. You mentioned it months ago on a podcast, and while I can't remember exactly what you said, whatever it was put it instantly on my TBR, and I really loved it. So, thank you!

I like that movie a lot. I do think the Colin Firth version is even better, but it's a miniseries and at least twice as long, so the movie is a lot easier to make time for.

I had to slow down and pay more attention than I do with modern books, but once I got used to the rhythm of her writing, I really enjoyed it

I've seen several adaptations of it, but I read it for the first time only about three years ago, and was surprised at how funny I thought it was. I mean, obviously it's known for being witty, but I wasn't sure how much of that was going to translate to my mushy, internet-addled brain.

At this point, I think it's weird if people don't want to scream randomly in the middle of the day.
