Ocarina of Time is a masterpiece. I've always thought part of the reason it's so beloved is because the low-poly 3D environment allows your brain enough of a scaffold for your imagination to run wild, without being bogged down by details. It incites player interaction in this way.

One of our dogs is an angel. Our other, however, she's a bit of a doof. A little girl approached us as we were on a walk once & asked to pet them, we happily obliged. During pets, the girl asks, 'why is this one better?' about our angel dog while our doof is rolling in the dirt a few feet away.
