If you're interested in writing and narrative, give it a read! It's an enlightening book.
There's another by this author, Vladimir Propp, that was translated earlier - Morphology of the Folktale. It's an earlier study, more focused on tropes and character functions.

It means a world to me. A beautiful, magical, captivating world, but also cruel and hostile, yet so alluring! A world that inspired generations of writers in the genre I love so dearly - already a reason enough for me to revere Tolkien's work

That's cool! I once started reading it in Spanish but my skill was far too low... Not that I feel I've grown somewhat in my Spanish reading abilities, I think I'll tackle it again 😀
