First go with my new Smith little torch and some copper scraps! Hopefully I'll improve with practice.

I'm back from my holidays, and in the studio again! These first ones are for me 😄

A bunch of ruffle blossoms, made with Vetrofond Tangerine Sparkle glass! I defied the sizzling heat in the studio yesterday to make these 😊

Just finished this - torchworked glass flowers, leaves and pods on copper wire, flat woven braid.

No AI, no computer aided design. Just me, glass rods, metal wire, hand tools and a very hot flame.... 😄

New work in the Makery: little glass pansies. I like them in a cluster, maybe I'll make a brooch or pendant.

Finally the earrings are posted and in the shop! They are so light and pretty, I've kept a pair for myself - maker's prerogative!

Hot off the torch, so to speak! I'm calling this 'fruit sorbet with mint leaves', a new and delicious necklace in flameworked glass and braided cotton with enamelled wire (which makes it hold its shape, and give off little glints in the sunlight).
In my Etsy shop now.

Fresh! Pretty flameworked glass and cotton braid necklace in spring colours, inspired by crocuses and hedgerow flowers. All made by me in my tiny glass and textile studio in the English East Midlands. In my Etsy shop now at a reduced price. moirasstudiomakery.etsy.com

I made some earrings: glass parts all made by me.

The studio is less cold, and I've been making some glass flowers...
It's not just because I'm a wuss (though I am); cold ambient temperature makes the glass more likely to crack.
