It is intellectually dishonest to pretend that inaction and a refusal of violence will stave off the coming tide. It is to stand in rain and deny being wet.

We have to be willing to die to be free because they are already willing to kill us to make sure we aren’t.

We have to start having honestly dialogue about what reasonable escalation looks like. The “if we respond it gives them a reason” crowd is wrong. They don’t have a reason now. It’s still happening.

That most republicans do not care to at the evidence of their own lives proves that attacking immigrants offers them no benefit

That they can kill you in public and lie about it

That the people will respond to tangible violence with whistles

That we have numbers but most people will not risk a federal charge to save another person

That most people are comfortable with a degree of terror as long as it’s not them being harmed
