The owner of Menards would fit right in with the worst of the Maga boosters. Dude made it his personal hobby to illegally dump hazardous waste. No matter how bad Home Depot and Lowes ownership is, I promise you Menards has a 5x more f'ed up story and treats their employees worse.

I'd like to pitch a Terminator parody where they only have the ability to send snowplows back in time.

It's like if the entire US economy was propped up by Enron.

It helps that he's so tapped into social media and podcasts. I don't think it's a coincidence that FDR had so much success and did the equivalent of podcasting with fireside chats. Similarly, Zohran knows how to get his message out without being dependent on traditional media.

They really should stop having those youth focus groups at the Harvard Business School, but the consultants already know their way around campus.

She has to say nice things about him so Liz will help campaign with her again. Some very expensive consultants insist it will work the second or third time.

It's all fun and games until Subway catering drops a few dozen clubs danger close and you need to take cover under a folding banquet table.

Ngl, I can see the overlap in the vehn diagram between those interests and kinksters who are too lonely to have someone to tie them up.

TNG was so far ahead making a gay acceptance episode that they accidently made a trans acceptance episode.

I think the reason all these 80's and 90's dystopias seem so relevant is because we're living through the natural conclusion of the politics of Regan. Those movies were reacting to the political changes that started this. We just failed to head the cautionary tale of Wesley Snipe's costume.

Is it that Spirit Halloween has ICE costumes, or is it that ICE get their uniforms from Spirit Halloween?

Ultimately they don't care how far we fall, as long as they own most of what's left.

I can't wait for the Scotus ruling on whether contractors can put leins on federal property due to lack of payment.

From experience, I think every cis man needs a good trans male friend to bully them over growing a weaker beard to really understand gender expression and what it means to be 'secure in ones masculinity'.

In my facial hair's defense, he was on performance enhancing drugs.

There are so many subsets and such a wide spectrum of beliefs within Christianity, you couldn't make us a Christian nation without narrowing the definition and alienating a lot of Christians. So making us a Christian nation is an attack on Christians.

I think it really comes down to if you're using AI to serve a creative function vs a utility. I don't use AI for concepting, but I do use it for noise removal and upresing.

Illegally activity and scamming idiots. With the Trumps, they do so much of both it's hard to know when it's one or the other or both at the same time.

I'd dig an Animatrix style animated anthology.

I'm seriously starting to think we'd be better off if congress was like jury duty where we just randomly select average people who don't want to be there.

I think you need to think bigger. Imo, Minnesota is Scandinavian. That's where our culture of civil liberties and social support came from. We need to join the EU.

To be a rogue billionaire building a global surveillance apparatus and undermining democracy while being inspired by One Piece and Watchmen is actually insane. It's the penultimate version of 'dude who doesn't understand fight club'.

The difference is, with Covid unless you have the data, all your info is very anecdotal and hard to quantify. If the economy is bad, everyones businesses and jobs will be effected in ways that are hard to ignore. You might not know how bad, but you are feeling it.
