If we want to protect democracy, we must learn to market its value as well as its opponents market its destruction.

My Belief

Politics, like business, is a competition for attention and belief.
It’s not just about who has the best ideas — it’s about who can tell the best story about what’s broken, who’s to blame, and how we fix it.

They don’t explain the world in ways ordinary people feel. They don’t frame what went wrong in ways that resonate. And they rarely offer a vision that feels bold, restorative, or real.

Until they do, Trump and his imitators — in the US, UK, and elsewhere — will keep winning hearts long before..

4. Offer a Clear (If Flawed) Solution

His answers are often absurd or damaging: tariffs, walls, mass deportations. But they’re clear. And they reinforce the earlier story: I’m fixing what they broke. That structure — world, blame, pain, solution — is how good marketing works..

3. Speak to Pain and Motivation

He speaks to people who feel forgotten, disrespected, afraid of the future. And he validates that pain — loudly and publicly.
In doing so, he becomes, for them, the only one who truly gets it.

2. Explain How We Got Here

He offers a story, a villain: Elites sold you out. Globalists got rich. Democrats let it happen. It’s not your fault — you were betrayed.
This narrative simplifies a complex history, but it gives people something to hold on to — and someone to blame.

I’ve started to see something else: a structure. A strategy. One that works.

Trump doesn’t just grab attention — though that’s his superpower. He also markets his politics with ruthless clarity, using four simple steps that every successful marketer knows:

my native Nigeria in all the wrong ways: strongman figures above the law, weakened institutions, and a public discourse driven more by spectacle than substance. Many of us look at Trump and see only chaos — the lies, the scandals, the authoritarian impulses. But as a brand-builder and marketer..

He should friggin read the room. Times are tough and uncertain. He should act like he understands that or get out of the way

The polls don’t look good, and he has no one else to blame but himself

Biden & Merrick Garland dotted their i’s and crossed their t’s, till it was too late. Brazil and South Korea took *their insurrections much more seriously and acted immediately. Biden wanted to look to the future. And here we are, in the future. No need to look any further than those two dopes.
