Happily a fat middle aged lesbian with exactly no fucks left to give.
One of my all time favourite albums still to this day. Play it & know why, play it loud.

Still one of the best double-takes (that has a happy ending, everyone involved including cat were fine) and the screenshot is such a great story without context I love that it looks like the cat is giving the pilot some crucial information. www.youtube.com/watch?v=J_8m...

The river during some strong spring winds & some painting (experimenting on extremely cheap wood panels).

Well this is a problem. I've (probably like... a million years late) discovered Distant Horizons. There's no going back though. Fortunately got it going with Minecolonies. I miss Millenaire though, I'm still hoping someone rezzes it one day.

Spring! Daffodils Sproinged out & flowered in the rain and I didn't manage to get many pics so I took this one with my phone in the biting cold wind this morning hahaha.

I fixed the thing that was broken. NO idea why the wait action was breaking it - but I figured out another way to do the thing. It's extremely early days yet but so far my little mochi critters can bounce about, sleep, & make flowers. With a randomly generated name, colour & sleep/creation schedule.

Based entirely on uneducated guesswork and vibes... also is there a prize for the most wrong?

These are a bunch of my hand-coloured paper beads, the green/blue ones are alcohol ink, the ones with the brown/wooden accent beads are coloured by pencil (prismas). In both types I coloured the sheets of paper before cutting them into the strips.

Another one, i think hand coloured paper (alcohol ink on a pre-printed but monochrome, coloured with greens & gold inks). I don't fully remember because these are old beads I finally did something with, I think they're hand coloured but could have been fancy wrapping paper I guess, I forget lol.

Making the most of my week off work by finishing things I started years ago. Another paper bead necklace done.

Finished another paper bead necklace I’ve lost my pc desk to findings and craft boxes but it’s the only room in my house that is warm rn so all my craft shit just migrates in here.

To give you an idea of how the paper beads fare over time this is a necklace I’ve worn a lot and is at least if not older than ten years old. Made from full colour photo pages of ract magazines.

Another finished paper bead necklace. Kept it simple for sanity. Someone needs to invent a findings putter onner bc im getting too old for these tiny sodding crimps.

Same as above just showing how these hand, though they do have a tendency to just ignore the layout and get twisted around.

It opens then it doesn’t put the pic in? Anyway here’s a finished paper-bead necklace with some glass beads & chain and gods multi strand things are a pain in the proverbial.

Finished "page of an old calendar" beads nice & shiny after varnishing. The tapered paper method is a bit more forgiving of wonky edges so it a good shape for scissors though I fully recommend using a little cheap paper cutter (I got one from officeworks for like $30).
June 3, 2025 at 12:27 AM
Im using a picture from an old calendar for these beads. Cutting them tapering makes a stripe pattern. This was a photo of a river cut up. I’ve used old scrap paper, hand coloured paper, french decorative paper even wrapping paper for beads.

A pile of finished beads. I find thick paper like the one I was using does better with the tube shaped ones, you see more of the pattern. You can paint/colour the last edge (the edge you can see along the long edge) if you want, I was just lazy. I did colour the ends though (with a cheap kids texta)

Paper beads, roll strips of interesting paper onto toothpicks, use glue only on the final edge, then colour the edges however you want & varnish a few times.

#polymerclay These are flat but cut with a ripple blade, the mica in the clay gives a textured appearance.

#polyclay #polymerclay I keep making more. I uploaded a video showing the 3d effect on the rippled ones.
