Nerd stuff. Scale models and figures. Australia.
I finally got the ogre to go matt. Better late than never 🙄

Got my entries back from the Cancon painting competition. What was I thinking? 😄Pure skill on display. Sadly, the pics are only on the organisers FB. The whole thing was weird. All the judges and entrants knew each other. I will not make that mistake again. Even bronze would see me ignored. 😅

The Ogre is as done as he's going to be. The varnish is freshy applied and taking a long time to dry... 😬Crossing my fingers.

Ogre W.I.P. I only have about 24 hrs left until close of entries for the Cancon painting comp, so it's not going to be a truly thorough job.

Putting together some figures for a painting comp. I dropped the layer thickness down to 0.03mm. That's beyond the tolerances of the machine and the resin, but everything looks pretty smooth.

I guess I knew this would happen on Xitter. $26/month 🤣
Not in a million years.

Finally putting some colour on the FT-17. Not happy with the green, but it needs going over again anyway. It was a bit tricky getting things right at 33C too.

The latest off the printer. Some sci-fi scenery, Ripley in the loader again (hopefully the size is perfect this time) and a triceratops. Because why not?

Some work on the FT-17. The tracks are a dream except that the knobs that lock the links tend to shear off when you fit them together.

Finally got around to solving the too-high radiator problem. I didn't buy a Dremel. No, I didn't sit there for four hours patiently filing at it, hoping it wouldn't break. I heated a pin to red hot and cut furrows into it and then sliced those off with a scalpel. I would still like a Dremel though.
