From the top of Mitake mountain you can see Skytree and the surrounding areas of Tokyo. There’s a cable car and some fun things to see including a temple. You can hike down the mountain in about an hour. Refreshing and relaxing. You can rest in a ryokan also. Check it out sometime!

Woodworking and lunch at Yama no Furasato Mura. They charge ¥400 for unlimited usage of tools and even provide some nails, screws and wood. It’s worth the 45 minute drive

Lunch before a dentist appointment at the park on a warm spring day was some shellfish for only ¥899. I used a coupon for 100 off at Chiyoda Sushi in Tsukiji. It is always a tasty treat!!!

We went to an okonomiyaki Hiroshima style teppanyaki restaurant at Hiroki. They add yakisoba and only a little of the batter so it’s not as dense as the other ways depending on the region of the country.

Went to shabu shabu for dinner with friends from the US last week. Ikebukuro has lots of shops , restaurants and fun things to do. The food and water in Japan is not only amazingly delicious it’s of high quality. I’ve never been in this good health before having lived in the states for 42 years.
