No shit that’s not financial advice. You’re posting for postings sake.

BTC is currently trading at $103K which means it could retrace to test resistance levels at $104K. Keep an eye on CRITICAL support at $101,893.76.

Prolly not directly right now but since institutions became able to gain exposure to crypto thought etfs this year they’ve gone in. That plus the rise in crypto prices generally has made it a larger part of institutional holdings. We’re all unwillingly tied to the fate of crypto whether we like it.
December 5, 2024 at 5:34 AM
Nah I agree that all assets are based on what we think about them. I’m just saying at this point all the financial institutions we rely on are totally in on BTC so we are whether we like it or not.
December 5, 2024 at 5:00 AM
Gochya, so you’re saying it has more to do with ebb and flow of liquidity than any specific policy towards the asset. I buy it in theory but that’s all we have rn besides 3 cycles of history to go off of.
December 5, 2024 at 4:58 AM
And what about if/when the US treasury purchases and holds? Will you eliminate exposure by denying the US dollar? It’s not insane given the current administration’s posturing towards doing just that.
December 5, 2024 at 4:53 AM
If you invested in btc at any point before this morning, you would be up. I’m confused, are you advocating for short or long term holding of any asset?
December 5, 2024 at 4:51 AM
lol dude, the bank kicked my family out of the house to leave it vacant for years and allow the copper wiring to get ripped out. Equity didn’t matter when the “safe” asset was under water.
December 5, 2024 at 4:49 AM
So as far as investments go, there’s always an element of cashing out at the right time. With that in mind, btc has a pretty good track record in its short life. The future is uncertain even for “safe” assets so why resist growth?
December 5, 2024 at 4:47 AM
That’s what I’m sayin’ - as someone that lost housing in 2008 I assure you just because the asset remained does not mean the value did for those that were borrowing it from the bank (it was also worthless to the bank for a while).
December 5, 2024 at 4:45 AM
My point being, in 2008 all financial institutions were overexposed to US housing as an asset (with underlying value) leading to a crisis that affected the entire world. Whether or not we as individuals see value in btc, won’t the fact that our financial institutions do affect us regardless?
December 5, 2024 at 4:41 AM
I mean, that’s kind of what I’m asking here. Beanie Babies, Tulips, etc. how many times will the asset have to fall to new baselines and reemerge for you to change your thinking on this? Who manages your retirement account? Are you sure you have absolutely no exposure to btc?
December 5, 2024 at 4:37 AM
Billions of other assets opting into conversion… the underlying value of any asset is that humans have faith it will hold the value put into it (if not grow). A whole lot of humans have been doing that with bitcoin for about a fifth of a human lifespan.
December 5, 2024 at 4:32 AM
No sarcasm here, is the theory that monetary policy getting locked in for at least four years accelerates growth regardless of what that monetary policy is? Thinking of the 2013 spike after the election of a US administration that was apathetic at best towards btc.
December 5, 2024 at 4:21 AM
A few years ago could have been at the last top but either way it’s a better investment than almost any other indices over that same period.
December 5, 2024 at 4:10 AM
Dude… this is so fucking funny and I’m so embarrassed by my similar digital footprints.
December 5, 2024 at 4:07 AM
PLEASE SHORT. Your liquidations will elongate the spike.
December 5, 2024 at 4:06 AM
💯 it’s somewhat election related but I think it’s more of a coincidence that they line up with halvings.
December 5, 2024 at 4:05 AM
Impossible?
December 5, 2024 at 4:02 AM
Have a retirement account? Have you really checked your exposure?
December 5, 2024 at 4:01 AM
I’m genuinely curious how someone can look at 15 years of channeling exponential growth and call it a ‘pump.’ With blackstone buying, wouldn’t all our traditional investments be to blame for any ‘dump’ to come?
