Redundancy within the eco system rather than redundancy within the "next big hyperscaler"™.

We've been doing this despite the actively hostile pricing models of the big hyperscalers with things on top of their infrastructure but its always bolted on top instead of being built-in and a feature rather than a fix.

Open standard VPC-peering between A and B who deliver the same thing (k8s clusters for example) would also go a long way to overcome regional availability without building the next global hyperscaler.

I'd rather have the choice of multiple providers within the same eco system (like A for VMs and B or C for object storage) with peering and federation between them so I don't break my bank account with the traffic between them.

Surely it must be the former. 🙃

Looks like conference skeeting is not a thing here (yet). Everybody else on Mastodon?

They can probably start over on the far side, once they're done. Those platforms are probably already good for a refresh.
