I try to show the people I care about that I love them as much as I can. Especially lately, I lost someone I loved recently and they were only a couple of years older than me. You really never know how much time you have left so I'm not gonna waste a minute.

I spent a big chunk of my life being abused, "overthinking" situations has saved my life more than once. I like that I can have wrong assumptions that I can hash out with the people I care about so we can have an open dialogue. It helps with communication. It also weeds out people that don't have 🧵

Honestly, I used to. I grew up in an abusive household so any time anyone was remotely nice to me I just assumed the best of them and ignored red flags because I thought the nice things they did outweighed the bad. It took being around truly good people to realize that there are things we shouldn't
