Today I rode the RVTD.org #10 bus from Ashland to Medford to the Front Street Transfer Station. I picked up a "UMO" card with a $20 balance on it for my return trip and future trips to Medford, Talent, and Phoenix. YaY for transit touring!

So, Trump thinks he's sending California National Guard to clean up Oregon. This doesn’t seem unusual at all. Hey! Trump! Quit picking on Oregon, you pussy. Show us the Epstein Files!

What are lowercase numbers? LoL

I don't know who did this, but it's perfect. I saw it, then couldn't find it on Gavin Newsom's social media.. then it popped up again. So someone else may have done it without his OK. Anyone know who did it?

From my collection of Scientific Americans. These are covers relating to Mathematical Games columns. I have July 65 (Four bug problem) somewhere. I don’t have April 61 yet (Coxeter-Escher). martin-gardner.org/SciAm12.html

Trump's takeover of DC has again raised the possibility of DC becoming the 51st state (on social media and by a congress guy). Standard reaction: "Oh! 51 isn't a round number. Our flag!!" etc. GUESS WHAT --- 51 stars work out fine!
August 12, 2025 at 12:50 AM
There also exist plans for a 52, 53, 54 and even a 55-star flag should there be cause for one.

10 sets of LangTominoes [1-8] arrived on Monday! I'm distributing them to 9 Lucky peeps as time permits. Produced in Canada.

My batch of LangTominos have been produced and shipped! I have an advanced photo of a set, sent by the maker, ItemsByCL.

When LangTominoes 1-8 are nested together, (see top configuration) they take up more width than when fit into a complete arrangement (bottom configuration). Can you explain this? (Hint in comments.)

Freshly printed Langtominoes. Thanks for Talus Design in Portland.

Picked up my test prints today from Talus Design 3D in SE Portland. These are all red Langtominoes 1,2,3,4. They fit tightly!

In 1953, LIFE photographer Hank Walker captured a security guard walking along US Highway 101, dwarfed by towering stacks of hollow iron floats. These massive structures once supported anti-submarine nets used to protect US ports during World War II...

Not complex shapes. Now to learn 3D printing and choose a service - ThingVerse? TinkerCAD?

Happy Easter Langtominoes! (A new project)
Langtominoes will be solid. Like 1/2” square wood dowels or some such material. There are 4 such flat planar solutions for n=8. But, what if we are allowed to stand selected ones up?
