The answer is high and also was high before too. Higher now than before and before was brewing into a crisis. But the length of time before entering default is something like 3x longer than with a normal loan. Defaults happening all at one present a systemic risk, but student loan defaults will lag.

There is a very long lag time for student loans to get classified in default. We're talking years and years
