"Fascism begins the moment a ruling class, fearing the people may use their political democracy to gain economic democracy, begins to destroy political democracy in order to retain its power of exploitation and special privilege."

The biggest mistake America has made is not prosecuting Trump for the violent insurrection of the Captial.
It directly has led to his second presidency and the eroding of democratic values.

THIS IS NOT CONSTITUTIONAL.

They cannot commandeer state and local law enforcement because they want to.

THIS IS NOT LAWFUL.

They cannot use federalized guard or military personnel for civilian law enforcement absent rebellion and insurrection.
Comer: "We're gonna support doing this in other cities if it works out in Washington DC. We spend a lot on our military. Our military has been in many countries around the world for the past two decades walking the streets trying to reduce crime. We need to focus on the big cities in America now."

He has kept among us in times of peace Standing Armies without the Consent of our legislatures. He has affected to render the Military independent of and superior to the Civil power. He has combined with others to subject us to a jurisdiction foreign to our constitution & unacknowledged by our laws.
DC Union Station tonight. Unreal.

Police should not have access to tear gas, rubber bullets, and other excessive crowd control weapons.
If someone can be arrested for throwing a sandwich at an officer, an officer should be arrested for the excessive force they use.

Breaking from my usual tone here just because I didn't think it needed to be said but apparently does.

Nazis are bad. Do not idolize them in any form. No, "but their infrastructure" or "Hitler actually had to be pretty smart"

No no. Just no.

The time of war is past. War only brings unnecessary suffering. It only furthers the agendas and increases the power of a few men. We, as a people, are done with war and done with suffering.

Salons akin to the French salons of the past should be brought back. This day and age require places for people to discuss and debate their ideas among their peers.
