Can't find any pictures as I've not managed to get there for a while, but here's one from google - it's also an old quarry so very much below street level and with a very unique vibe, one of my favourite places (St James Cemetery, aka 'the one by the big cathedral')

Exactly the same with my mum, who apparently used to walk around West Norwood Cemetery with me in the pram as a baby, no wonder I turned out weird 😆 We've got one in Liverpool that was closed to burials and then turned into a public park in the 19th century, with stones moved but still present
