Is there a reason that UK MP's are taking consultation from American YouTubers but not, say, indie game developers who would be affected by changes in the law?

Siegecaster is a smaller project so that's giving us the chance to play around with some Steam things that might otherwise seem scary such as Steam Playtest. Looks like we've had a bump here from that plus some store page re-jiggery so maybe consider giving those things a shot on a smaller title.

We started publishing in 2017. If a game is "overwhelming" in some way (incredible art, incredible depth, provokes a strong emotional response) and it has clear familiarity and novelty then I am automatically interested. Too many game pitches are "safe" and don't stand out - you need mega impact.

Frozen Synapse in 2011 worked so well for us because:

- It combined our deep creative interests with something that had a clear audience
- We took a long time to make sure the game met people's expectations
- We prototyped it extensively and answered the big design questions upfront

Finish stuff if you can even if you know it's not perfect. You cannot know the outcome of an ambitious project in advance but if you build momentum and cross the finish line, you might end up somewhere unexpected. Determinance led us to working on games for this thing...

"Make small games" isn't always the right advice depending on your personality and situation - you can learn a lot from absurdly ambitious projects. We did with our first game Determinance (featured in PC Gamer's "Oddball" column!)

Alexander is correct here: the Spy Hunter cab is out of order. Cool glitch art consolation prize however.

Hello if I know you (for various values of "know") and you would like to help us test the Siegecaster demo today (BENEFITS: you get to play the Siegecaster demo) then let me know! THANK YOU

Siegecaster has officially hit the "we've truly got something here" feeling for me when testing today. We have heard "better than Vampire Survivors" from a couple of folks in testing which is RIDICULOUS so let's see how this one goes
