Stroke survivor. If not watching The Arsenal, I will be listening to Indie music and reading crime fiction.
Love that album, and have occasionally been known to murder Since Yesterday on karaoke.

If Australia bat and bowl wrong handed, and field one handed, then there's a possible sniff for at least a first innings lead if not an outright win.

Did you go on a Legend tour?
I went a year or so back with Perry Groves, really good day.

Most do, except his potential replacement Bethel, so Pope is in for the entire series.

As long as England bats first there's enough playing time to make it 5.

Nah, with England's refusal to bat longer than an ODI innings there'll be enough time as long as Australia don't bat first.

It's starting to look that way. My original concerns before signing him were that it appears that he lacks the close control over the ball in tight situations. I've yet to see anything to dispel that.
However, there is a global dearth of top strikers who fit that bill, so not sure who the answer is.

I've always been concerned about his close control. But I'd only seen him against Arsenal, and for Cov at Bristol C a few years back.
He looks like the sort of player who looks good with space in front of him. Not the sort of player who can find space in a crowded penalty area against a low block.

I was 14 when I bought that album, traipsed upstairs with it, put it on my record player and barely left my bedroom for about a month afterwards, a stunning album.

In Lawrence Booth's Bazball book, he suggested that during one game Foakes asked to bat slowly to ensure a draw. Seems that was the straw that broke the management's back. If you aren't prepared to treat batting like it's the final over of a T20 you have no place under McCullum/Stokes.

He hasn't gotten over the coin incident, probably never will.

It was always going to be 4 or 5-0. You can't go to Australia, playing 6 and out, swinging away at everything. You need to bat long and let your bowlers rest, not have them back out 2 sessions later.

24 hours later, England trail by 177 runs. So spot on assessment.

Seen it all before so expect 50-4 to be incoming shortly.
