kyou wa mada futsuu ni narenai (reread)
extended write-up attached because i have too much to say lol. i'd read this before but didn't remember it super well, and liked it more than i thought. recommended for people who like things that are more focused on character exploration than a solid "plot"
a page from kyou wa mada futsuu ni narenai. in the first panel, the two main characters are standing in a classroom holding hands. takahashi says "before now, we were just somehow together, but from now on, we'll be together because we want to be together." the second panel shows a close-up of their hands, with takahashi saying "that's what will be our normal." screenshot of a bunch of text reads: this isn't really "about" the relationship between the main characters even if it's kind of the literal main focus - more than anything, it's "about" being yourself and living the way that's best for you even if that life is different from what was expected of you, which i think a lot of LGBTQ+ people (and neurodivergent people) can relate to. if you don't like manga without a strong driving plot this one probably isn't for you (i'd really describe it as slice-of-life before i would describe it as yuri), but despite being pretty short it has a lot of refreshing transparency about life in a way that reminded me of what i love about works like toko kotoha's menhera-chan (and yamashita is aroace coded in my heart)

have been thinking about ita bags and realized i haven't posted any pictures of my current yuu bags here yet ..... i like her a normal amount #lovelive #虹ヶ咲
