Why was EOM Oct post delayed? I got a good excuse... I was waiting for the early NOV security updates!
Look at 3 Nov 2026, and you can see trend:
Now that we have a major and a minor release of iOS 26 out, it seems like Apple will NOT provide iOS 18 security updates for iOS 26 upgradable devices.

If Apple is losing $1B+ USD a year... and there are 45m users…
Assuming they are all on monthly plan, and they don't cancel:
$3 USD * 12 months * 45 million subs -> $1,620 million USD
That's +$1.62 billion USD.

I think it will be the first tangible move to a common platform: let's pencil in the phrase "xOS" ?! 🤷
