The last season of data collection for my masters is complete. One semester of lab work coming up. 1100 birds banded, 4 classes passed, and one conference attended this semester. Time for a break.

If you’re a pit viper a junco is not so dark-eyed. Cool to see the temperature gradient across the feather groups. Outdoor temp was about 7C.

Bird blood samples from a House Finch at a feeder today and when I spun them the plasma was opaque white. I’ve never seen plasma this opaque. Lipid rich? It was wild.
