Hmm. The gif didn't work. Hopefully this gets the idea across.

All of these areas are still super recognizable.

I made it all the way through Half-Life 2 with these glitched silhouette graphics. I did have to use mat_wireframe a couple of times to navigate white voids though.

I wish there was a mode to play like this on purpose.

I was just going to take some screenshots, but I ended up playing this way for quite a while. There are parts where it's all just a white void, and I had to rely on the fact that every level of this game is burned into my memory.

Looks like I managed to break most of the shaders. Looks kinda cool anyway.
