Pastors carry spiritual, emotional, and mental weight. Therapy and rest aren’t signs of weakness—they’re part of wise leadership. Jesus invites the weary to rest (Matt. 11:28). Let’s normalize support for our shepherds.

Let’s normalize counseling in the church.
Mental health is part of discipleship. Jesus cared for the whole person—so should we. Therapy and faith aren’t enemies; they work together for healing.

Therapy doesn’t replace prayer—it can walk beside it. You can trust Jesus and talk to a counselor. That’s not weakness, it’s wisdom.
“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

Therapy doesn’t mean you’re leaving God—it means you're walking with Him toward healing. Just like pastors guide your spirit, therapists can help guide your mind. "In an abundance of counselors there is safety." — Proverbs 11:14

Therapy isn’t “just for them.” It’s for us, too. The Bible shows examples of counsel (Ex. 18:14–24; Prov. 11:14), and many therapists understand and respect religious values. Healing isn’t betrayal—it’s alignment. #FaithAndTherapy #BlackMentalHealth #HealingIsHoly
