Former Twins Pitcher Kyle Gibson hung up the spikes yesterday, ending his career with a 112-111 record, 1,520 strikeouts, and a career ERA of 4.60. Congratulations on a great career, Kyle Gibson! Best of luck to you with whatever you pursue for the remainder of your life!

While Kirby Puckett is mainly known for his Game 6 walk-off home run in the 1991 World Series (the greatest World Series ever played), he ended his career appearing in TEN All-Star games, 207 home runs, 1,085 RBI, and 2,307 hits. Suffice to say, Puckett is and will forever be a Twins legend.

Philip Humber ended his career with a 16-23, a 5.31 ERA, with 272 career strikeouts. During his two-season (2008-2009) stint with the Twins, he went 0-0 with a 6.32 ERA and 15 strikeouts. Fun fact: Humber pitched a perfect game with the Chicago White Sox in 2012!

Three time All-Star and career Twins relief pitcher Glen Perkins ended his career with a 3.88 ERA, 120 saves, in 409 games played. Similar to Joe Mauer, Perkins spent the duration of his big league career with Minnesota.

Former Twin and current free agent Nick Gordon had the best season of his career with Minnesota in 2022; a .272 batting average, 9 home runs, and 51 RBIs in 136 games. Would love to see Gordon return to the Twins as a utility option.

Former Twin Kendrys Morales only had a .234 batting average with 1 home run and 18 RBI during his 39-game stint with the Minnesota Twins in 2014.

Former Minnesota Twins infielder Trevor Plouffe ended his career with a .242 batting average, 22 home runs, and 379 RBI. His best season was with Minnesota in 2015, where he hit 22 home runs, and drove in 86, hitting .244.

Former Twins Pitcher Carl Pavano ended his career with a 108-107 pitching record with a career ERA of 4.39 with 1,091 strikeouts. He ended his career in Minnesota, with a 17-11 record, leading the American League in shutouts (2) and complete games (7) during his 2010 season with Minnesota.

During his one season with Minnesota (2020 shortened season), Rich Hill went 2-2 with a 3.03 ERA with 31 strikeouts. Hill is currently a 45-year-old free agent. Like Kyle Gibson, it would amazing to see Rich Hill return to the Twins!

Longtime Cincinnati Reds Pitcher Homer Bailey finished his 14-year-career with the Minnesota Twins in the shortened 2020 season, appearing in two games, and winning one of them. Bailey ended his career with a 81-86 record, with 1,157 career strikeouts, and pitched two no-hitters in his career.

Former Twins Catcher Ryan Doumit finished his career with 104 career home runs, 818 hits, and 413 RBI. He played the best season of his career in 2012 with Minnesota, hitting .275 with 14 home runs while driving in 75.

Believe it or not, Former Twins Pitcher Alex Meyer actually retired before Joe Mauer did. Meyer retired in 2017, while Mauer retired in 2018. Meyer finished his four-year career with a career 5-8 record, with 107 strikeouts, and a career ERA of 4.63.

Former Twin Carlos Gómez ended his career with 1,189 hits, 145 home runs, and 546 RBI. Also worth mentioning are his 268 career stolen bases, which ranks 208th on the MLB career-stolen base list.

Former Twin Alexi Casilla ended his career with 419 hits, with 12 of them being home runs while driving in 157 total. He played for Minnesota from 2006-2012, and then with Baltimore from 2013-2014. His 41st birthday is coming up this July. What are you getting him?

During his brief stint with the Twins in 2014, Sam Fuld hit .274 with one home run and 17 RBI. Fun fact: He was general manager of the Philadelphia Phillies from 2021-2024. He is now the President of Baseball Operations for the Phillies. Very cool, Sam Fuld!

Former Twin Nick Punto had the best season of his career in 2006 with Minnesota, hitting .290 with 1 home run, and driving in 45, despite getting a respectable 133 hits.
