Your guess is as good as mine.
The celebrations of Charlie Kirk's murder are disgusting. What the hell is wrong with those who have been doing this? What claim to humanity do you even have?

Summary: Gerda Weissmann was liberated from a Polish concentration camp. The American soldier who liberated her and others was, like Gerda, a Jew. He visited her during her recuperation, eventually asking for her hand. Married for over 50 years.

Watch out for things like kingpin agitation and police kettling, and have an escape route in mind.
That's all. Be safe and come home in one piece.

You are my friends, though, so I do want to ask you all to be careful. I've been in, and close to, a lot of riots in my lifetime, and sometimes it's difficult to tell when a demonstration is in danger of turning into a riot.

I know that some of my friends are planning to attend one or more of the "No Kings" protests tomorrow. As everyone who knows me here is aware, I do not discuss politics on social media, except for X (Twitter) and a private netnews group that is not visible on the wider USENET.

Corruption requires explict quid pro quo. It is not corrupt to take an action that aligns with the interest of a person who gives you a gift, unless the official action was in direct response to that gift--a bribe. Terms matter. Accuracy and fairness matters. Regardless of what social media wants.

I'm super excited to see all the leftist[s] who've been babbling about the rule of law for the last couple years explaining why pardoning Hunter Biden is a great thing.

I'm not sure, but I'm pretty positive it's going to be because us conservatives are racist or something.

A message to longtime friends who are following me here: my Bluesky account isn't really serious. I'm actually just trying to push the envelope and see what it takes to get banned here (hence the test-pattern background). I mean, I'll never post anything that I don't agree with, but there you are.

As expected:

President Biden pardoned his son, Hunter Biden, after the first son was convicted in two separate federal cases earlier this year.

I think that it's probably safe to say that Kamala Harris's political career (outside of California) is over.
