Exactly this, as someone who is a sober person, don’t question my choices in front of people I might not know what well. How about we just don’t comment about what people eat or drink? I’m sober and I don’t like chip dip. Please don’t make fun of my plain dipless chips and my Diet Coke.

While I would enjoy watching the viral clips of you in question period, please don’t underestimate the role you are playing to show people Canada is not broken.

I feel like this applies to the North West Territories as well. People dream of living up here, but the reality of bugs in the summer and the never ending darkness and snow in the winter kicks in eventually.

Just bought a copy on iBooks. It’s not my usual choice, but sometimes it’s good to read outside my comfort genres.

As an English teacher, I choose my books very carefully. I’ve taught Five Little Indians in grade 12, but only if they are comfortable with the topics raised in this book. If they aren’t comfortable, we read something else. If I don’t know them well enough, I don’t even consider it.
