Prayers will never be enough. Tonight at the Minnesota Twins game they placed 20 candles on home plate & held a moment of silence. That really moved me. I hope some day soon the gun people will realize that we can find common ground to reduce/end these tragedies.

When you have to cut down a tree, don't have the stump ground out! The soil can't handle it. Can you guess where our trees were before we planted our native plant yard? Going forward we will leave the stump or leave a wildlife snag. (Look it up!) #naturalgardens

This spring we replaced our grass lawn with a native plants & grasses cover and the gardener we're working with is awesome. He was here today for our monthly visit and pointed out something new to me - a goldenrod gall fly bud. I did some reading on it today & it's fascinating! #naturalgardens
