I created this 3D Model then animated the synchronized caterpillar movements through a Python script in Blender. I usually work in Maya, so this is another step in the Blender learning process. In the script I generated sine wave oscillation data to animate the movement of the caterpillars.

Birds cleaning their wings and reducing heat by keeping their mouths open on the first hot sunny day this month.

A Yellow-crowned night heron has visited Celery Farm last week; apparently this species is quite rare for that area.

The larger Grackle was a bit intimidated by the smaller bird. He looks like his flaring a black cape.

Came across a photo I took last year at Celery Farm with a deer and blue heron wading in the lake seeking food.

I don’t often see a Robin on my deck; here in a row with a mourning dove and brown-headed cowbird.

Not great lighting for the photos but saw what I think is an osprey holding a fish he caught at Ramapo reserve today.

3D model of skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus). Now that spring is arriving here in the northeast, this plant will melt snow through thermogenesis and be an early attractor of pollinators.
