I created this 3D Model then animated the synchronized caterpillar movements through a Python script in Blender. I usually work in Maya, so this is another step in the Blender learning process. In the script I generated sine wave oscillation data to animate the movement of the caterpillars.

A Yellow-crowned night heron has visited Celery Farm last week; apparently this species is quite rare for that area.

3D model of skunk cabbage (Symplocarpus foetidus). Now that spring is arriving here in the northeast, this plant will melt snow through thermogenesis and be an early attractor of pollinators.
