I played at Budokan in Tokyo for a run of shows over a week and a half. The house bass amp was a Walter Woods into an Epifani 4 x 10. I have never seen one of those amps since, fantastic sound. Great venue, fun city to hang in, Japan is amazing.

I am fascinated by how you approach the stream of information coming out. They are very much flooding the zone. I know the rule used to be “Don’t take him literally, take him seriously”, but now everything is so fast. How do you prioritise- as journalists and as people? Any strategies?
