These are my latest local club competition entries:

The superb wren and sunset were entered into an open subject category and the leaves and rain covered windscreen were entered into a “Rainy Day” subject, which was a print category so the prints will be displayed at the club on Tuesday night.

The cranes look vaguely like giraffes Some leaves with water droplets on them, part of a rainbow out of focus in the background, one of the water drops is hanging off the leaf and you can just see the rainbow refracted in the droplet A rain covered windscreen with a car seen through the rain covering the glass, it looks like a Porsche with its left indicator on and green traffic lights in the distance. The whole image looks almost abstract due to the rain

Another couple of photos entered into my local camera club’s monthly competition. Subject was night photography
A maritime time ball tower at Williamstown, Victoria, Australia. The moon is behind the tower the glow is visible to the right. The time ball is down and the ball and pole are illuminated at the top of the tower. Puffing Billy steam train lit up with neon lighting mounted to the carriages and a light projection lamp shining brightly towards the camera. Taken during one of the Puffing Billy 2022’s night lights events. The train is on a curving trellis bridge, only the carriages not the steam locomotive are in shot and the light projector is projecting green light across the trellis bridge.

Spent the day down the Great Ocean Road doing a Nikon workshop with Josh Beames, it was to introduce the new Z8, it was fun having a play with the new camera and try some different lenses. These are the first photos I’ve edited and I’m very happy with them

I took this for a club photo competition, the theme was One Candle, I’m very happy with this shot, definitely things I’d like to improve but overall happy
