Their presence likely was steading as best it could be in this tragic situation.

Pretzel logic is too kind. Pretzels have continuity and a path they follow. It's just spouting whatever unrelated nonsense scores points in the moment.

We need to follow our own constitutional process and update our laws. Focus on ending the creation of an intentional underclass locked in serfdom and give people workplace protection, job portability (h1b anyone?) and a path to citizenship.

It's a drastically lesser sort of wrong, but would still be wrong had the Obama administration chosen not enforce them at all.

We have immigration laws.

It's profoundly wrong to enforce them with wanton cruelty and violence, especially towards those with only administrative violations.
