I enjoyed all the baseball commentary on here during the World Series. It was a breath of fresh air from the incessant shitshow going on around us. Pitchers and catchers report in three and a half months.

Excellent solo show by Rob Thomas of Matchbox Twenty last night in Philly. The guy is the total package - voice, stage presence, showmanship. His band is top-notch and the setlist was strong, not a bad song in the set.

Guitar hero Steve Lukather, original lead guitarist of Toto, can still bring it. Great triple-bill show Friday night at the Hard Rock in Atlantic City featuring Toto, Men at Work and Christopher Cross.

My wife and I wouldn't mind driving from Philly to NY for the MSNBC Live 25 event but you are charging Swift/Springsteen prices for the evening session. And as much as we like you, you're not in the Swift/Springsteen league. @maddow.msnbc.com @lawrenceodonnell.msnbc.com @chrislhayes.bsky.social

I guarantee that in their prime, Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein would have already had the Epstein list and Ben Bradlee and Katherine Graham would have already printed it without even a second thought.

Howie Day last night in Sellersville was excellent. Right artist, right songs, right venue, right audience to bring two hours of peace and joy into an awfully challenging world right now and help sooth the soul. What an incredible talent. Thanks Howie.

Proud to be a member of the 1981 Iowa Hawkeyes baseball team honored this past weekend in Iowa City. It’s been 44 years since we won 44 games to set the school record for wins in a season. The record still stands. #GoHawkeyes

During a meeting with colleagues yesterday, the discussion turned to federal funding for universities. And I was able to work in the phrase " . . . that jackwagon jabronie and his merry band of incompetent asshats." As you might imagine, I was pretty pleased with myself.

It wasn't the greatest weekend weather, but I put out some seed and the birds are coming back to the yard.

Trump's tariffs target the Heard and McDonald Islands. No people live there, but plenty of penguins. Trump slapped a 10 percent duty on penguins. Thanks Wile E. Coyote, super-genius.
