Last week my three Masters'student defended their thesis. They did a wonderfull work on genome assemblies, AI for genome annotation and yeast comparative genomics. We have now 3 new brilliant bioinformaricians ! #Proud 😍

Attending to the IV Foro Colabora on Agrobiotechnology organised by Bioval. Creating strong bridges between basic and applied science, academia and industry, is so important. Scientists also need to make impact on our local economy and employment.

After a couple of months of extraction optimization and tests... We got it ! Fast sequencing and already enough data for the experiment. Thanks @nanoporetech.com Hopefully the genomes will show us something quite surprising. Stay tuned !
